The class starts with 30 minutes of movement and breath work, led by Jessie, to mobilise, stretch, open up and tune into our bodies. The second half of the class, led by Sarah, focuses on the important role Kidney Yin plays, with guidance on self-led acupressure routines to help support hormonal balance and energy.
Session 2 | Enhancing Skin Health with Movement & Acupressure
November 21, 13:30–15:00
A 90-minute acupressure and movement class on the mat, providing women with hands-on techniques to promote skin health during perimenopause and menopause. Starting with 30 minutes of movement and breath work to stimulate the lymph flow in the body, helping to support detoxification, hormonal balance and skin tone. Followed by guided, self-led acupressure, massage and bone tapping exercises to further activate the lymphatic system, helping to improve bone density, enhance face and neck elasticity, and remove tension.
Session 3 | Managing Emotional Wellbeing
January 23, 13:30–15:00
The time leading up to menopause (called perimenopause) is a physical and emotional roller coaster for some women, lasting up to 10 years. The so-called “change of life” comes with a host of symptoms triggered by hormonal shifts, with the decline in oestrogen levels leading to hot flashes, insomnia, mood fluctuations, and potentially even depression.
Join us for a 90-minute acupressure and movement session on the mat, providing you with techniques for managing your emotional and mental wellbeing during this time. We will begin with 30 minutes of movement led by Jessie to ground, tune into the body, calm the nervous system, and alleviate emotional turbulence.
In the second half of the session, led by Sarah, we will focus on acupressure points specifically chosen to alleviate menopausal symptoms such as mood swings, anxiety, and depression. Participants will learn self-guided exercises designed to combat stress, support kidney function, and restore emotional equilibrium.
By integrating both movement and acupressure, this session aims to empower you to navigate this transformative phase with greater ease and understanding, honouring the interconnectedness of physical and emotional health.
Please come to class dressed to move and bring a water bottle.
